Back in January Julia, my roommate from Copenhagen who I cooked most of the recipes earlier on this blog with, came to visit me and we finally got to cook together again. We saw this recipe for French Toast by Geoffrey Zakarian on Facebook and had to try it. The French Toast is pretty classic; the coating was eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. We got challah bread from the Jewish deli by my house which made it amazing. The Early Grey syrup was so simple and easy to make, just make a simple syrup and steep Earl Grey tea bags while it’s boiling. But it was such a new twist that this was unlike any French Toast I’ve ever had. My roommate and I have been discussing making brunch for weeks now. If we ever get around to actually doing it, I’ll definitely be putting this on the menu.
