Tartletter

12755417_10204368223959619_1071275222_oOur Living Learning Community culinary event for the week was making classic Danish “Tartletter.” They were kind of like mini pot pies. There were four types total, the two pictured here are a ham and cabbage tartletter, which also had carrots, cream, and parsley, and a salmon and radish tartletter, which also had a very strong cheese called rygeost, crème fraiche, and snap peas. There was also a chicken and mushroom tartletter that I really wanted to try but people snatched those up so quickly, they looked good though! The last was a goat cheese and beetroot tartletter with pears, spinach, and crushed almonds, my group made one of those and put way too much salt into our beetroot so I steered clear of that one.
